Role and Responsibilities

Duties will include:

  • Plan and deliver inclusive, age-appropriate play activities with children aged 3 plus
  • Set up play areas with a range of fun challenging activities for all ages and abilities.
  • This includes, cooking, arts and crafts, role play, construction, sports activities, and team games
  • Collect children in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Prepare hot and cold snacks in line with food hygiene and safety procedures
  • Clean and tidy play areas making sure toys are stored in line with health and safety procedures
  • Prepare role play activity boxes
  • Understand the need for confidentiality in line with general data protection
  • Must complete training relevant to the job and position
  • The job is subject to obtaining an Enhanced Disclosure and providing two referees

Required Qualifications

  • Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 9-4 / A*-C or equivalent

Training

  • Maths and English to level 2 required, if not already acheived.knowledge and skills and beheaviour in relation to customer service principles and practices, business principles, techinical companies, knowledge.and understanding research activities , commertial awarness and manadging challenging situations and taking ownership and health and safety
  • Ongoing assessment by the employer and provider – for example meetings with apprentice, employer and learning provider, observations of workplace, gathering evidence
  • Undertake a self-assessment in the last month of their apprenticeship to enable them to see whether they are confident that they have taken on board all aspects of the occupation
  • This self-assessment must be submitted to the independent end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for independent End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project; an employer reference and a structured interview about their portfolio and project
