Due to the Government’s advice on social distancing we have moved many of our courses online. This has not affected how much our learners enjoy these courses.
Chris Myhill has moved her Family History course from Bensham Grove onto Outlook Groups. The Family through Time ‘Lockdown special’ has generated some very positive feedback from learners. Some learners were nervous about their IT ability at first but have worked really well and have had fun coming together.
The Family History course caters for adults of all ages. Here are some comments shared by the learners:
‘Really enjoyed the class and being together. Thanks Chris. See you all next week.’
‘Great get together even though apart’
‘Enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week. Many thanks, stay safe.’
‘Thanks Chris for the hard work and organisation this must have taken. Thoroughly enjoyed it.’
‘I enjoyed getting my brain into focus a bit. Take care everyone and stay safe.’
‘It was really good. Makes you want to do research now!’
It is important to maintain good mental health and wellbeing during isolation. One good way of doing this is by taking part in an online course. Online courses allow people to keep in contact and develop confidence in something new.
