Liam said ‘I am very excited to be given the chance to start a career with Guerilla. It was everything I was looking for in a job role and I look forward to seeing what the future brings. I found myself without a job after being let go during the first lockdown in March. I would specifically say to anybody who may be in a similar boat that finding a career in this current climate is going to be so difficult. An apprenticeship is going to help you acquire a qualification as well as that sought-after experience all employers are looking for. It will give you the best chance of starting a career and I’m very glad to have been successful in my pursuit. Thanks so much to the team at learningSkills for helping me get here.
Christine Frazer was Liam’s tutor for his traineeship and said ‘Liam came to us after losing his job during lockdown. he had already found that University was not for him. Liam applied for an apprenticeship with Guerrilla through our business development team. Over the weeks, Liam gained in confidence, his work ethic was impressive and his contribution to debates in sessions was excellent. Liam really shone while looking at money management, the realisation that money was a tricky thing to manage, spurred him onto create his own budget including savings and the odd treat. He gained valuable experience at Guerilla Communications, completing website design and development, customer service and administration skills. I wish Liam all the best in the future and I know he will be able to continue his successes. Well done Liam.
