Promoting Health and Well-being through Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordination in the Early Years
This course is ideal if you are employed in an early years setting and wish to upskill to a Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo) role. You will examine the benefits of physical activity and the importance of diet to the health and well-being of babies, children and their families. You will consider statutory framework requirements, national and local initiatives as well as examining and reflecting upon current practice with a view to continually improving practice within your own setting.
This is a blended learning course where you will attend a combination of classroom and online learning experiences. Expert tutor advice will be available throughout the course alongside a variety of resources in Google classroom. You will create a portfolio of evidence generated from assessment tasks which will demonstrate your competency in the outcomes of this unit. As it is a work-based qualification you will be required to be working in an early years setting and hold a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
