If you live in Gateshead, the Council are here to support you, coordinating a range of services to help from shopping for food, emergency food parcels, collecting medical supplies, prescriptions, running errands, help with benefits, money or concerns about your job. 

If you need help you can register for support at  If you don’t have access to the internet you can telephone Gateshead Council Customer Service Team on 0191 433 7112 (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm excluding Bank Holidays).  However, if you can use the on line form we would encourage you to do so as it is easier and quicker than telephoning, we are expecting high volumes of calls.
