We want you to know that we are available if you have any concerns about your personal wellbeing over this difficult period.  Everyone has the right to feel safe and we are here to ensure that you have support if you do not feel safe and don’t know what to do. If you live in Gateshead, the Council are here to support you, coordinating a range of services to help from shopping for food, emergency food parcels, collecting medical supplies, prescriptions, running errands, help with benefits, money or concerns about your job. 

If you need help you can register for support at www.gateshead.gov.uk/staysafe.  If you don’t have access to the internet you can telephone Gateshead Council Customer Service Team on 0191 433 7112 (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm excluding Bank Holidays).  However, if you can use the on line form we would encourage you to do so as it is easier and quicker than telephoning, we are expecting high volumes of calls.
