We are still recruiting learners aged 14 – 24 years for our courses in: Business Administration, Barbering, Beauty, Care, Construction, Customer Service, Hairdressing, Retail and Teaching Assistant.

We are running virtual open days, videos calls and site visits etc for interested learners and appropriate adults. 

Our Construction Centre in Pelaw works with a range of learners.

Some have no experience, aren’t attending school and have a number of issues.

Others have some experience but need formal, industry training and are working at local painting and decorators as apprentices on sites across the county.

One of our partners in Dryden Behaviour Service had this to say about a young person who stopped attending school in Yr 9 and had been to 3 different schools by the time he came to us beginning of Year 10:

Steve Graham. “Brian has completed some excellent work with JD, who was expelled from school and because he was Year 11, put onto an alternative programme as being best fit. 

With the support from Brian, J has really found a focus for his studies through woodwork carpentry, painting and decorating. 

Much credit must go to J himself for grabbing the opportunity, but a huge amount must also go to Brian and Lee for creating an environment and atmosphere where J felt valued and able to thrive. He really has given this boy a hope for the future.”
