What is the Programme Content?

Working with sugarpaste and flower or modelling paste, you will create small models (teddy bears, pandas) and wired flowers and foliage. You will understand what each paste is best suited to, and will develop basic skills and techniques required to make stunning cake decorations. The course will also demonstrations of covering cakes with sugarpaste and stacking tiered cakes.

Who is it for?

Beginners - prior knowledge or experience is not required.

What prior experience and knowledge do I need?

None.

What materials or equipment do I need to provide?

All materials and equipment to be provided by the learner but the course is designed to keep costs to a minimum by making use of basic kitchen equipment and tools. No equipment is required for the first session.

What materials or equipment do we provide to you?

Templates as required. If you qualify to get the course for free you will still need to pay a material charge of £24 which is included in the course price.

How will I be assessed?

Your tutor will discuss your individual goals and you will be encouraged to gain new skills and techniques. You will be required to track your progress by completing an Individual Learning Plan.
