Learning and Skills Teacher Level 5 Apprenticeship

The Learning and Skills Teacher apprenticeship will take 18 months to complete and you will gain the knowledge and skills to work in settings where students are 16 and above, you will be planning and delivering teaching that is current, comprehensive and challenging to inspire students to engage, progress and acheive their full potential, you may also interact with employers and stakeholders.

What is the Programme Content?

Programme will include pedagogical theory and how to apply this theory to practice, the principles and designing, planning and organising curriculum and strategies to engage and challenge all learners.

Who is it for?

For those working in all parts of the Further Education and Skills Sector, where students are 16 and over, or working as a trainer.

What prior experience and knowledge do I need?

None.

What materials or equipment do I need to provide?

Access to ICT and the internet.

What materials or equipment do we provide to you?

E-portfolio system and taught sessions.

How will I be assessed?

Ongoing on programme online assessment and reviews; End point assessment- professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence and lesson observation and professional dialogue.

Is the programme accredited?

The programme is a nationally recognised apprenticeship certificate.
